What will 2025 Bring for you?
To start 2025 we are having a wedding!!! Our daughter found the perfect guy for her and they will be married the end of January.
Since that will take up most of my energy and time in January, new year won’t technically won’t start for me start until February 1st. However, that doesn’t stop me from thinking about what I hope 2025 will bring!
First, a reflection on 2024…
This was a super hard year for me. I can’t completely pinpoint why it felt so hard, but it just felt a bit heavier. At least, that’s how it felt for the first half of the month. I feel like it was just super busy, too. Nonstop activities, events, and projects seemed to stack up one after the other. As the year ends, though, I do feel it evened out and time became more manageable.
Here are some highlights:
* I finished my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification!! (Plus two other trainings — trauma informed and mindfulness coaching.)
* I checked “Solo Retreat” off my bucket list! That’s been a dream of mine for years.
* I stained our kitchen cabinets! I learned a lot, stressed a lot, and feel so relieved to be done!
What I didn’t accomplish: I didn’t publish anything. But maybe next year. ;-)
Looking forward to 2025
My new favorite resource for planning for the future year is this Compass workbook. It is so cool! I love reflecting on what happened in the year before and what can be envisioned for the next year. It’s not so much a check off list of things to accomplish, but rather a more broad view of vision.
Having completed that, I’m looking forward to some big things this year!
* I hope to speak and teach more, getting my feet wet in the coaching business. I just want to see if that’s what I’d like to do!
* I want to check off Goldbug Hot Springs…finally! And take a trip up into Canada. And J and I are going to take trips down to SLC because we got season tickets to Hale Center Theater!
* I’ve got to focus on some physical health things: nutrition and muscle mass/weight training.
And I always have a reading goal.
Last year it was to read 50 books. I made it!
One year I read a book with the title “The Art of…” each month. This year I think I’m going to try a variation of that and read a book with the title “The Power of…” each month.
My word for the year:
CONVICTION!
I just want to do things with conviction this year! I want to have confidence in my choices, stop hesitating on things I know I’m sure of, and just go for it (whatever *it* is!). I want to trust myself, letting go of the fear of what other people might think.
So, with that said — I’m leaving behind a tough 2024 and looking at a bright and hopeful 2025! I love new beginnings and broad horizons.
* * * * *
